Total 94 Soccer Academy Partnership

Canyon FC is proud to announce our newly formed partnership with Total 94, a soccer training academy run by US Soccer legends Thomas Dooley and Paul Caligiuri. This certificate academy training program will initially be offered as a 12 week diploma course. This training is completely voluntary and would be in addition to your team's regular training schedule. Our Canyon FC players will actually have a chance to be trained directly by two of the best players in US Soccer History! This is a program that is exclusively being offered to Canyon FC players with more exciting things from this partnership to come!

Registration will be first come first serve and space in each of the four timeslots will be limited to maximize training benefits. Once courses are full, we will start a waiting list and inform you of any cancellations. By signing up you are committing to the 12 week training system at a total cost of $120/player. We will be sending out registration information to your managers/coaches. Please remember this will be first come first serve and we expect a very high interest level, so reserve your spot quickly.

This Technical Development Course (T-D-C) has been certified and approved by the United States National Team Players Association. The Total 94 group will be using a mixture of training curriculum from Dooley Soccer University and the only licensed Coerver Training System in Southern California. Please read the bio's below for Thomas Dooley and Paul Caliguiri to see what a unique opportunity this is for our kids.

We expect participation and feedback to be high. If well received, the club will be looking to offer multiple training diploma courses in the future.

Thomas Dooley

Thomas Dooley, native to Germany but born with dual citizenship in the U.S., began his professional soccer career playing for FC Homburg in the late 80's. He spent over 10 seasons (more than 250 matches) as a player in the German Bundesliga with heralded clubs such as Kaiserslautern, Schalke and Leverkusen.

Dooley emerged as a significant driver in Kaiserslautern's German Cup victory in 1990 and the Bundesliga Championship in 1991. He later won the UEFA Cup with Schalke in 1997. He transferred to Major League Soccer that year and spent 4 seasons playing with the Columbus Crew and New York/New Jersey Metrostars, during which he played over 100 matches and earned MLS Best XI honors two times, was voted to the MLS All-Star team on multiple occasions and was named the team's defensive player of the year and team MVP. Dooley was also named Captain of the 1998 U.S. National Team. Dooley was inducted into the US Soccer Hall of Fame in 2010 in recognition of his service to US Soccer both on the international level and domestically.

Dooley currently holds a UEFA Coaching Teacher License, the most prestigious license offered worldwide. He previously served as a head coach and sports director at FC Saarbruecken in 2002-2003 while the team was in the 2 Bundesliga.

He has also recently served as an interim-assistant coach to Jurgen Klinsmann for the US National Team in 2011 and is the assistant coach for the U-20 US National team while they prepare for the U-20 World Cup in 2013. Nova Sports Group collaborates with Champion Player Consultancy on arranging professional coaching opportunities for Dooley worldwide.
